If I had bought the book I would have been disappointed, but it was a free download on my e-reader so I couldn't be too disappointed with it. It was so predictable and cliched and I didn't feel as if the characters were fleshed out enough to make them interesting.

This was a very cookie cutter story. Everything was predictable. But it's a good book if you're looking for something to not take too seriously, something to take your mind off the day. I don't know if I will read the other books in the series when they come out, but I may if there was nothing else.

Cute, adorable, predictable.. and has dogs.

The Marriage Bargain was definitely one of those books that I just randomly picked on my audible today. I just needed audios to pass the time - because work was long and super boring today. I feel like I flew through a bunch of them and I am kind of happy about that.

In this book, you will meet Alexa and Nicholas. Of course these two have a rocky past. He was her first kiss and crush.. and he basically broke her heart saying that she had potential. THEY WERE KIDS GUYS! I don't really remember the age.. maybe 6? maybe 8?

Years later.. well, these two are in a pickle. They need to marry someone but for different reasons. In the end, these two obviously make a bargain with one another (hence the title guys!). It was cute that they thought this was going to stay that way... haha/lol/lmfao okay guys.

No, their plan went to shit. They started developing feelings for each other. The attraction was there. The chemistry was there. Then there was a baby from all that jazz. Yup, and of course that caused some drama between the two. Eventually they got over it and wanted to actually become a real family.

Of course, their marriage in the beginning was a lie.. but lines were crossed and it became real. It was adorable. I loved it and all of the dogs in this book. I will probably, most definitely, be diving into the next book of this series sometime this year.

Awesome book for anyone interested in a romance. Also, we receive both the characters point of views.

Quick read, predictable, but satisfying all the same. The writing was tight and the push and pull between the MC's entertained.

I absolutely loved the characters. Nick as much as Alexa. A really nice and light romance for a relaxing moment.

J'ai adoré les personnages. Autant Nick qu'Alexa. Une très très belle romance et une histoire légère pour un bon moment de détente.

There is a definite reason that The Marriage Bargain has been listed on NY Times bestselling ebook list week after week....it's Probst's stellar storytelling capabilities! Alexa and Nick are "puzzle box" characters. The more you learn about them the more you realize how much you don't know about them. It takes a while to fit all their pieces together, but eventually you learn enough about them to get inside their heads and hearts and understand their motives and actions.

Nick is really messed up because of his father. He doesn't believe in getting attached to anyone because he doesn't think he is worth anyone's love, and also doesn't think he has the strength to stay in a relationship. Alexa is fiercely loyal to those she loves, and will do anything and everything in her power to save them, including entering into a loveless marriage. To see Alexa and Nick try to sift through all their personal issues while trying to understand what is happening to them as a couple....well it's an interestingly bumpy ride.

Final Thoughts: Read it. (There are lots of cute animals in it too!)

Nicholas needs a wife and Alexandria needs money to save her family. Two childhood frenemies who turn out to be an unlikely pair but when the sparks fly both get more than they bargain for. This story had me laughing out loud and at the end left me with the joy of a HEA. Great characters and an enjoyable storyline. I look forward to reading more in the series.

Alexa needed money, Nicholas needed a wife, why not combine the two? No emotions, no strings, easy right?

Cute little love story. It was funny and romantic
