This was extremely well written and absolutely fascinating. Also, I can’t even count the number of times I gasped, shook my head, or sighed in exasperation while reading about the events that took place within the Murdaugh “dynasty.” The corruption! The sociopathy!

impeccable, gripping reporting of the downfall of a low country scion whose abuses of power and privilege caught up with him (shockingly, and at far too great a cost, but nevertheless). i didn’t really know anything about this case, but the account feels definitive in both facts and narration.
