The eleventh of Beatrix's tales is quite a short affair and rather dull. Though I can imagine this is exactly how little mice are in their little houses, becoming exasperated whenever an uninvited guest appears and tries to set up home inside their home.
The darker elements of nature to Beatrix's stories is here, but not quite as developed in her previous stories and I didn't find Mrs Thomasina Tittlemouse particularly endearing.
I think this one was a little "cute" rather than a young women's exploration of nature as I've felt her previous little stories to be.

This story was cool. She has some great pictures of bugs: beetles, spiders, ladybugs, etc. The niblings loved this story. Mrs. Tittlemouse is a neat-freak. She needs her house clean and those bugs are dirty. I think this is a story about OCD. She needs some help. She cleaned her house for a fortnight or 15 days. That is insanity. Beautiful artwork and I think this was is special

This was one of my favorite tales growing up and the book I've read countless times. I just dug it up in the attic and had to re-read it again. It's beautifully illustrated, amusing and so well written.
If you have kids or just like tales, I highly recommend this one.

A somewhat claustrophobic tale about a meticulous mouse whose home is invaded by creepy-crawlies and a toad, ugh.
