This would have been a really great addition and in parts it was but the โromanceโ aspect killed it for me.
That part read like bad fanfiction ๐. And even though I enjoy that certain trope, the people it involved ... well, not my cup of tea.

A cute little story (not an adjective you get to apply too often to a Mark Lawrence joint). Fans of the series will enjoy this little supplement.

A perfect companion novella to follow up on Red & Grey sister. Y'all should know how much I adore Nona and Ara together, so this was such a gift for me. On top of getting to explore the dynamic between two of my favourite ladies, we have an assassin that needs to be caught. What is not to love!

A great short story set in the Book of the Ancestor world. If you are a fan of the first two books this is a must read.
