This was a really quick read, in a good way! - I was so keen to watch everything play out that I flew through it. I know it wasn't technically part of the book, but honestly, one of the things I liked most was the family tree at the beginning - there were so many characters that that was a MASSIVE help for keeping people straight in my head! Usually books with so many characters overwhelm me, but this one didn't do that at all :) That being said, I do feel that the 'voice' of each POV character was not as developed as they could have been, which made it hard to follow who was talking at times.

Something this book really excelled in was dropping tidbits and hints throughout, yet also making sure there were lots of red herrings. Whilst I picked up on some of the clues, a lot of the reveals still surprised me. I do think, though, that the final reveal - 'the big one' - only made sense in part, and felt a bit unfinished. Then again, the ending did kiiiinda set things up for a sequel.....
