“The Reunion” is a truly fantastic young adult thriller from the author of “I Killed Zoe Spanos.” The Mayweather family is many things: large, wealthy, and full of secrets. When Mason and Addison’s mom gets engaged to Theo’s dad, the whole family jets off to Cancun for a tropical vacation, culminating in an engagement party for the happy couple. But not all is well in paradise, as family secrets are struggling to be kept, tension builds between three once close family members, and one of the couple’s children is suspicious of their future step-parent. It is revealed that something occurs at the engagement party, leaving someone dead, with a member of the family likely being the culprit.
This book was truly incredible in every way. The plot was gripping and addictive, and I simply could not put it down. The characters are complex with positive and negative traits, and even though the family was pretty big, I did not find it difficult to keep all the characters straight.
I was surprised by all the plot twists in “The Reunion.” I truly didn’t see anything coming and I was kept on my toes the whole time. The build up to the main twist was so satisfying, and I would truly love to reread this book to see what hints there could have been throughout the story.
Multiple points of view can be challenging, but Frick pulls it off beautifully. There are primarily four perspectives, and each character has their own unique voice. Their stories are unique and I never found myself mixing up the perspectives. This book is expertly written by a seasoned writer in the genre.
Frankly, I could gush about this book for forever. I highly recommend “The Reunion” to anyone who is looking for a twisty and exciting YA Thriller.

There were some issues with the audiobook I got from the library it skipped a few times I couldn't get the little 5 sec parts to play in two spots so hopefully I didn't miss anything essential.
It did keep me guessing throughout the book! Which always makes a good thriller. I liked the diversity, and most of the MCs were likable, just one wasn't. Overall it was a pretty good book, but the ending was frustrating because I don't know what the secret was! I have a few guesses though.
The narrators did an amazing job and made it easier to get into a book with so many POVs.
