3.5. I'm interested in the story, despite it not being fully flushed out in over 200 pages. That makes it out to be a promising world though, with effective building. I'm not itching to pick up the next volume but I will eventually.

Fantastic graphic novel about the intertwining of money, power, and death magic. Deeply creepy. Reminds me of something Alan Moore would write.

I would love to give this a better rating because the ideas are really interesting and moody and what a great capitalist horror story but goddamn they did not try to make this easy to sift through. I really enjoyed the transcripts and diary entries throughout but they didn’t really help to make sense of things.
