The author writes "cat" perfectly and it has been transl ted beautifully! I listened to the audiobook on Spotify and it did really feel as if I was listening to a cat tell me all about his life.
I loved it so much from start to finish. I laughed and cried and fell in love with NaNa the cat.
Simply beautiful!
A must read for any animal lover

Recommended to me by Jane and Amma -I'm glad I read it, this book reads like a Ghibli film at times

A sweet and absolutely lovely journey through soft-edged adventures, friendships and connection, and memories, told largely from an excellently-done and clever feline perspective. The devotion shared by Nana and Satoru (and to some extent, all the people Satoru knew and had so many memories with) is presented with a beautifully understated yet strongly continuing thread.

By the time I reached the ending I fully expected it to make me cry, and that it did, but it was beautifully done and the tears were sorrowful but not wrenching.
