This book was like a warm blanket, soft and comforting.
It wasn’t as I expected for a book about a widow still trying to come to terms with her husband suicide, but I likes that.
I loved both main characters, Keane was so sweet and earnest and Anna was so strong, even if she didn’t know it.
I loved the slow burn, especially because of where sh was in her life.
Another thing, I didn’t know sailing through the Caribbean is/was such a lifestyle, and now I wonder how Covid-19 has affected all that, but it was pretty nice seeing all this people helping each other and getting together.
And of course all the food and fruits mentioned, specially my most favorite fruit in the whole world: sugar apples.

I enjoyed every bit of this book. It's about Anna who's dealing with her fiance's suicide. She makes the split second decision to go the sailing trip her fiance planned. The trip helps her heal and discover what she wants. It's a cute story. I'm looking forward to read more by this author

This book was such a pleasure to read. It was a combination of everything I want in a book: it transported me effortlessly into its setting, it gave me complex characters I cared about, and it took me on a mental trip to places I've never seen. And despite that I'm not into sailing, it actually made me want to read more books set on boats.
Lastly, I found its depiction of grief so raw and authentic. I liked how honest Anna was about her struggles, and how the book gave her time and space to deal with her pain until she was able to move on.
I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

I received this book in a GR giveaway.
I really did like this book, very much a romance with some heavy issues being dealt with. The main characters’ relationship was a very quick strangers to friends to lovers, so there was not a whole lot of time for the development of it. I do see how it could have happened, being on a small sailboat 24/7 for a few months might speed it up.
I enjoyed all the talk about sailing, and I wish it was something I did. The author made it sound so challenging but fun!

this book was lovely, but the descriptions of Anna’s outfits were… fucking weird. Doller says she wrote this book over 8 years and it’s clear that the outfits came off a 2014 Pinterest board and were never updated.
