Very much what I imagine having a conversation with Mindy Kaling would be like. Entertaining but not mind-blowing by any means. You want amazing, read Bossypants; you want a fun, lite read, pick up this book.
When my friend Sonali posted she was reading this, I had to too. Because Sonali’s cool (and a funny blog writer) and I like to pretend I’m cool (and a marginally funny Pinterest book review writer). Also, I used to love The Office.(Before it jumped the shark at Pam&Jim’s wedding). Mindy is self-deprecating,pop culture obsessed and adverse to being mean. She’s so cool you want to be her friend. In fact, Sonali & Mindy are probably BFFs. And they are most likely hanging out without me right now.

This is a 2.5 star book. It was an enjoyable quick read but felt kinda flat and surface level to me. The comedy didn’t always land.
I got half way through on the audio book and couldn't finish it. Found it hard to pay attention.
It might be better to read it than listen.
