The Grace of the Wild Things
This is Anne of Green Gables but with witches
Grace- Anne
The Witch- Marilla
Patrick- Matthew
Rum- Gilbert
Serena- Diana
Charity Crumbly- Mrs. Lynde

This was very cute, I like Heather Fawcett a lot more as a middle grade author than I liked her Encyclopedia of Fairies books. I think this book fit her writing style better.

I didn't remember what this was about until I picked it up. I put it on hold just because Heather Fawcett wrote it- if you enjoyed The Encylopaedia of Faries, you will love this. This is a modern retelling of Anne of Green Gables but with witches and a talking crow! It was incredibly charming and the perfect amount of adventure, quests, witches and friendship.

Wonderfully written. Such an enchanting, Anne of Green Gables retelling. You could tell where the author found her inspiration and turned it into a magical, wonderful, beautiful tale about a grumpy old witch, and a girl who warmed her heart.
