I was just thinking how we need more stories of disabilities. I’ve always been uncomfortable with this word, but I’m told by people with disabilities that IRS indeed the right word to use. So yes, I was really glad to pick up this book. Some of Jodi Picoult’s books are undercooked, but this one was just right. She took her time with the story she didn’t rush the ending. Jacob is possibly one of my favorite characters ever. And from the little I know about high functioning people on the spectrum, I think he was very well-written.
