My heart is so happy. I love these two, I love their friendship & love and the cute and serious moments between them. I think I’m crying as i type this and think about those moments. Such a GOOD read. BRB while I find my Gus.

To verify honest, my favorite parts were the side characters. I loved the aunts and her best friend and her father.

This was a little darker than I was expecting but it doesn’t matter because I fell in love with the characters and their storylines.

Man like Gus don’t exist!!
But a girl can still hopeeee.

My first Emily Henry book and I liked it, AND I’m not a romance reader. Cute story and dealing great with difficult feelings💗

I enjoyed Beach Read so much. It’s a fun story that makes for a perfect summer read.

January and Gus are both great characters and I really enjoyed their dynamic. Their dialogue and banter feels so natural.

I like all of Emily Henry’s books but this one is by far my favorite.

This book is just on another level completely. I’m so mad at myself that this has been sitting on my bookshelf collecting dust for two years because Emily Henry pulled out all the stops and more. I definitely get the hype around her now, she is such a phenomenal author and this is hands down the best romance banter I’ve ever read. Gus and Januarys conversations had me laughing and tabbing nearly the whole story. Their relationship development felt so natural and real, Gus and January felt like people who actually exist, and that’s my favorite thing a book can make me feel.

The pacing was perfect, the characters and side characters were perfect, and the plot was perfect. Need I say more? If there was ever a five star romance this would definitely be it. This story is also just what you need to read in the summer (“beach read” duh) it captures that summer romance essence so well while also maintaining a plot with depth. Even the books Gus and January were writing were so interesting to read about. Emily Henry has just gained a new fan and I’m beyond excited to read and devour everything else she’s written.
