Pull head out of butt and be happy

Okay, maybe it's not quite that easy...but only because Lenny and Gideon make it difficult.

15 years of loving your best friend apparently make telling them next to impossible. GOOD THING Xavier Neal rescued their story. (I am particularly fond seeing them mentioned at a certain hockey hottie's last hoorah...Vlasta!!!!)

Loving takes courage and once they find their's...Lenny and OG are unstoppable.

I kindly received an arc for an honest review

Lennox and Gideon are best friends for over 20 years now. They are both secretly in love with each other.
Len is working for a Matchmaking firm and sets up Gideon with 7 dates. During this time they figure out, that their feelings are more than they admit ...

Great best-Friends-to-lovers romance. Enjoyed it a lot. Had some good laughs in between!
I totally recommend this book!

Friends to lovers is one of my favorite romance tropes, and the fun banter and shenanigans in this one made it that much better. The story is pretty drama free with the exception of the internal angst both characters have as they figure things out, and what seems to be the required issue to be overcome on the way to happy ever after. I will say that I did see that one coming, but it didn't diminish my enjoyment of the book. Lennox and Gideon have great chemistry, and I loved that they aren't perfect. Lennox is a hot mess most of the time, and Gideon seems to only loosen up when he's with her. Even as friends, they both go out of their way to do what's best for each other, which makes them pretty perfect together. They did frustrate me to no end at times with all the inner turmoil about what to say, what to do, when to take that next step, etc, and I really wanted to shake one or both of them several times. However, frustrated or not, Gideon and Lennox's journey was certainly an engaging, laugh out loud trip.

This is a complete standalone novel.
It is a friends to loves romance.

Gideon and Lenny are the absolute best friends. They have grown so close that they schedule their lives around one another. They both orbit each other like planets never realizing the gravitational pull they seem to have over each other. They are both blissflully clueless on how in love they both are.

What starts out as a harmless deal quickly escalates in hilarity and uncomfortable truths each other must face. Every person in Gideon and Lenny's lives know they are crazy about each other but neither of them want to risk their friendship.

Throughout the course of this book we see the push and pull of these two characters personalities. We see them mature in their friendship and their relationship. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. I also love seeing the side characters, which happen to be from other Xavier Neal stories. I absolutely love all the 90's references.

This was a fast paced story but was easy to follow along with a clear beginning, middle and end.
This story is heartwarming and adorable. "Can't Match This" is a must read for any Xavier Neal fans.

Xavier Neal's can't match this is about two best friends who are in love with each other. What starts off a casual flirting and bedroom meeting turns into more. You definitely can't match want has been there from the start. Sometimes the one you love is standing write in front of you.

Loved it up until maybe the 75% mark - then it was just okay (think this averages out to 4 stars?).

Can't Match This is a friends to lovers story. I thought it was cute and steamy and fun. (Not crazy steam-wise, but it's definitely there so be advised.) Quick read overall. Happy story throughout.

I really liked the voices of each character - this was my first Xavier Neal book, and it won't be my last. I highlighted multiple passages that gave me that "YES" feeling.

Awful. I'm sorry to myself for having finished it. Can't nor won't forgive the piss poor excuse of Spanish being used here. Do yourselves a favor, don't read this.

2 Stars because I actually finished, this was a really difficult book to read. For starters the MCs were in a full blown relationship the whole time there was no friends to lovers situation. I felt like that was just a type of book the author wanted to check off of a list because the book didn’t read as friends to lovers. I skimmed BIG portions of this book because the MCs weren’t very exciting characters, the heroine had long paragraphs about her being not like the “typical chick”. The hero had long paragraphs about being boring and anal retentive. I like other books by this author the cowboy Casanova book 2 was a really great read so I might pick up another book from this author but this book was not very entertaining.
