Dang, Yumichika is just not right in the head, is he? I would so not qualify for the Eleventh Company because I would prioritize staying alive over some stupid macho fighting norm every time. Dude would be dead if he didn't keep lucking out with fights where he can keep his kido-type zanpaku-to a secret. And on that note, I admit I have absolutely no clue what's the difference between direct attack zanpaku-to and kido ones. The second is a whole lot more powerful? That's probably it, Bleach fights are pretty much always a matter of just power. I don't think any of the Soul Society reapers are even acquainted with the concept of strategy.
I liked the conversation between Ulquiorra and Orihime. Their interactions are always really fraught, I'm impressed by her ability to stay calm when talking to a guy who goes on about killing her every other second. Still pining away for the possibility of her making a move against the hogyoku. Come on Tite Kubo, you promised us she had a plan. Let her execute it please, it won't make Ichigo less of a badass if his girl friends are too.
I hope he goes somewhere interesting with Kira next volume, I'm going to be super bored if he does nothing about his betrayal by Gin. 3 stars

I had a bit of a hard time remembering the names of all the captains and assistant captains but when I got into it I really enjoyed the fights. They were funny. I hope we won't lose any of our dear characters in the fights to come.
