Non mi sono sbilanciata troppo perché l'espediente narrativo di questo libro è molto simile a tanti altri che conosco oppure ho già letto, dunque non brilla per originalità. Però ammetto che l'epilogo, per quanto semplice, forse persino scontato, mi ha emozionato dopo tanto tempo che non succedeva. Se cercate una lettura confortante ma realistica, forse l'avete trovata.

Ich hatte mich auf The Convenience Store by the Sea gefreut, vor allem wegen der vielversprechenden, ruhigen Stimmung, die mich an ähnliche Bücher erinnert hat, die ich mochte. Tatsächlich hat mir das Setting auch gefallen – atmosphärisch, entschleunigt und mit einem gewissen melancholischen Charme. Trotzdem musste ich mich immer wieder zum Weiterlesen zwingen. Die Geschichte fühlte sich träge und wenig greifbar an. Die Figuren und ihre Handlungsstränge wirkten für mich zusammenhangslos, als würden sie nebeneinander herlaufen, ohne sich wirklich zu berühren. Die sehr langen Kapitel, die eher wie unabhängige Episoden wirkten, haben es zusätzlich erschwert, einen echten Lesefluss zu finden.
Schade – ich hatte mir mehr erhofft und bin letztlich nicht in das Buch hineingekommen.

Wäre fast ein 5 ⭐️ Buch geworden, aber gegen Ende wurd's irgendwie langweiliger .. trotzdem ein richtig gutes Buch was ein bisschen zum Nachdenken anregt.
