*SPOILERS AHEAD*
I really enjoyed this until the 3rd act break up! Honestly, the reasoning was so stupid IMO and then the time jump was 8 YEARS!!! Once they saw each other again after the 8 years, there was only 4 chapter left! It felt too rushed for all their history for everything to be ok again so fast! I, however, did really like the mmc! He falls first and never gives up trying to make her his BUT with the 3rd act break up he just gave up and honestly I don't blame him given he had to put so much effort into getting her in the first place and for her to crush his heart like she did. I understand that the fmc was burned before by an ex and her heart was guarded, but she did get over that part with with Knox but damn you would think that with him going above and beyond so many times for her that she would see that their love for each other would get them through anything! Even him going into the draft! And for the reasoning for the break up being the draft, you would think that AFTER he did get into the major leagues, they would reconnect, but no... we wait 8 years later. And both her and him have had relationships with other people between those 8 years. And immediately once they do reconnect and 4 chapters later everything is right in the world its just to rushed for me!

Edit: Also, the title and blurb was misleading because he never takes her to the locker room until the epilogue

5 "traumatizing the patrons and staff at the dealership" stars (I will explain soon. )

So Meghan Quinn did a thing. Wrote book number...(I'm not sure, just trying to prove a point!) and then because I'm easy and needy I begged to read said book. I have finished. I have many things to point out.

Many things I learned (yet again...but clearly never actually learned because I'm having this "discussion") post reading The Locker Room...

1. Do not read The Locker Room in a public place.
1. A. Do not read it in a public place where: people know your name, see you regularly, or know you as a small business owner (more on the odd reasoning soon).
2. When trying to be stealthy about reading in public, do NOT isolate yourself. It makes it far more obvious that you are crazy. With other people around, you have reasonable doubt.
3. People will be oddly disturbed by your muttered reiteration of random lines... "freak tendencies"
3.A. Especially when random utterances are either proceeded by laughing out loud or followed by laughing like the Joker. #truestory
3.B. Random guffaw and utterances tend to isolate you more as others abandon your corner of crazy...
4. As you fall down the rabbit hole that is the swoon worthy, Mr.Darcy usurping Knox Gentry you will be making up new words adding "posal" as though others will acknowledge your genius...Meghan still hasn't gotten back to me.
4.A. Said made up words will take over your mind, cause you to "flashback" to the hilarity, swoony, or other "y" that caused said new word and cause utterances/random guffaws/snorts.
5. You will look like you are on furlough from the psych ward!

Now, I know you're shaking your head. You're thinking to yourself but Becky...not me. Trust me! I was getting legit crazy eyes from other patrons and staff at the dealership while waiting for my truck to get done. I hid in alcove because I was reading and didn't want to be disturbed. My previous Meghan Quinn experiences must have some how faded in my mind because I thought today was the perfect 6 hour window to tackle The Locker Room. Just no! Do yourself, and my dwindling pride a favor, do not read in public unless it's a judgement free zone.

I laughed my ass off, muttered like the furlough was ending, and burst into seemingly random giggles. I swooned. I swooned hard. I replaced Mr. DARCY swooned hard. Knox Gentry is EVERYTHING you ever wanted in a book boyfriend, mate, spouse, SO. EVERYTHING! And a bag of chips! All that awesomeness needs a release...so I cried too. I know you aren't impressed. The dealership staff wasn't either but they didn't understand that your heart can break reading a book. You can. You understand that words have feelings. Words have power. They evoke strong reactions, create friendships, and build amazing worlds. Meghan Quinn may only have taken me to Chicago but she stole a piece of my ever expanding heart by introducing me to Knox Gentry and I refuse to give him back.

So for those who want to see what Knox is like he will be on loan soon. For all those hos who think they have ownership of my man....in your dreams!

P.S. I actually have to bring a different vehicle to the dealership again tomorrow and Thursday. I guess we will see how they react!

Read this book if you like disappointing endings. MQ manipulates her readers and seems to want to test how far she can push us before we just stop reading her sh*t. Why make a cute story if you are just going to ruin it in the end? Knox should have married the supermodel and let Emory live in her poor sad apartment with her poor sad life.
