This was only from her POV, so idk what the MMC was feeling or thinking or what his deal was. I'm not sure how these alpha and omega stories go, but the FMC shouldn't have let him near her. She made it too easy for him. She survived 3 years without him. She could easily have let him suffered a little bit longer.
Two stars at least because this made me cry too many times. The FMC deserved better.

Love me a second chance with a good grovel. I gobbled this one up in one day.
Connor is an idiot, and I'm not very convinced it wasn't all biological on his end, but I'm glad Lana got her alpha in the end.

It started off strong, Irma a pity for the last 1/3 of the book. I wished they had a but lash out, that she made him suffer/ grovel like she had to but… it’s didn’t happen.

This was my first read from [a:Sara Sellers|21451850|Sara Sellers|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1740529154p2/21451850.jpg], and I gotta say—color me impressed. The omegaverse is my comfort-food genre, and I’m picky—but this one delivered.
I started reading this at the doctor’s office, and had a hard time trying not to let the tears in my eyes give me away. Lana’s pain hit hard. Anyone who’s ever experienced unrequited love can relate—but when it’s your mate who doesn’t return those feelings? That kind of hurt runs deep.
Lana’s pain was so raw and real, and while I got why she didn’t tell Connor they were mates (wanting to be chosen by his heart, not his biology), I also found myself yelling at the page like, “Girl, please just SAY something!” Because Connor was already halfway in love with her and didn’t even know he had a spiritual bond backing it up. Keeping it from him felt unfair, especially when everyone knew how much he cared about her. Watching him struggle without the full picture was frustrating in the best way.
Despite being just 222 pages, this book didn’t feel rushed. It was packed with angst, yearning, and just enough spice to keep the pulse racing.
Now, the only thing that didn’t sit right? The ending. Have you ever been walking and suddenly step into a hole you didn’t see? That full-body jolt, the way everything stops without warning? That’s how the ending felt. It didn’t ruin the story, but it definitely made me blink at the page like, Wait, that’s it? I needed a bit more closure, or at least an epilogue.
Bottom line:
A heartfelt, emotional omegaverse with strong characters and real depth. Just be prepared for an ending that stops a little too suddenly.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
HEA? yes
3rd act break-up? yes-ish
