I picked this book up after watching the first few episodes of the new series Tracker, which is based on this series. I mostly enjoyed it and will definitely continue on to the other books eventually, but it's definitely not something I could binge several books in a row. Deaver tells a great story, but often takes too long to do it and I generally find myself burning out by halfway through one of his books, and that was more or less the case here. It was a solid read, but one that felt a little drawn out by the end.

#1 in the Colton Shaw series. Also new tv series staring Justin Harley, so it was nice to picture him as Shaw as I listened to this audio book. Darn. I may be hooked. I may have to read more.

Just like the Kathryn Dance series, this book just didn't thrill me as much as the Lincoln Rhyme books do. I hope Colter Shaw is fleshed out more in subsequent books, but based on this one alone I find him to be rather irritating. I also felt the multiple story lines and jumping back and forth in time to be rather confusing.
