This was my very first book I've read from Kerry Evelyn and I have a feeling I've just started a marathon to read all her books now.
I could tell how much time and effort she put into writing this book. The story was flawless and the characters perfection.
I love that Kerry has used her talents in writing this story to really put a spotlight on our veterans. She shows that not only do they go through so much in active service but also have to deal with the aftermath. The way she wrote both character's experiences with PTSD really made it easier to imagine what it is like to live through the effects of a trigger. Never will I hear a firework again without thinking of this book and veterans a like.
I loved both Lanie and Matt and wanted them to work out from the moment they meet. I loved that Lanie and Matt. were struggling with PTSD from their past experiences but together they found peace and strength.
I loved that faith, scripture and the gospel in general played a part in the book as well.
This book has just the right amount of heat for me. Passionate kisses without going overboard and you could feel the emotions they had for each other.
Physical Intimacy: PG13 (Kissing, Making Out)
Mild Language
Christian Aspects
Dual POV

Tense and heartbreaking start they leads to a beautiful and heart mending end. I love how quickly the story starts and keeps going at a great pace. The chemistry between Lanie and Matt is electric and sparkly. You just know they are perfect for each other. Love on the Edge shows how even with tricky and even terrifying pasts, you can learn to trust and love when you find the right people to depend on.
I was able to relate to so many parts of this book and smaller scale of Lanie. Which while it made some spots harder to get through, it also made the book even more intense and inspiring.
You won't want to miss this beautiful story of love, growth, faith, and l wrnig to trust again. Kerry Evelyn really knows how to pull at your heart, make you fall in love, and be inspired beyond belief.
*This is my second time reading this but I never left a review on the first time (not one that I can find anywhere anyways).
