This wasn’t the goriest graphic novel I’ve ever read, but I think it was made more uncomfy by the fact that there were anthropomorphic animal characters in addition to regular animal characters. I don’t know if I’ll ever stop thinking about the panel where the anthropomorphic pig walks past the butcher shop where a pig head is just vibing. Weird. Ultimately, I think the story would have been something I would’ve watched as an episode of something with humans, but as a graphic novel it felt weird to me as a personal preference. I doubt I’ll read anything like this in the future if I can avoid it. I did really like the art style though, and I appreciated that it didn’t get gorier than it was.

i love it when cute things are fucked up it's so fun LOL i do wish we had more time with our characters though!! i blitzed through this story, and i wish i could have learned more about our mc. still very fun :)

I enjoyed the art of the comic, it added to the eerie premise that nothing was censored. I appreciate it. It's classic plot, but I wasn't bored with it at all. Samantha being a anthropomorphic bear in parallel to seeing a wild bear had me mulling over the deeper meanings of looking inside yourself. I enjoyed that there were not rights or wrongs, I think everyone can challenge their inner dark side with this read.
