Absolutely gorgeous artwork, and the story itself was so compelling. Was such an interesting read, the way it followed Sam was so horrifying and the read of it was just absolutely terrifying and I couldn’t stop. So gorg, so well written, and I love the concept so much.

I recently got a mass of graphic novels published by IDW from Humble Bundle and when I posted about it on Bluesky I was told be several people to read this first.
Happy Woodland Creatures meets Dexter, serial killing in the perfect town steps on the toes of another serial killer.
I loved how the artwork and the start of the story lulls you into this false sense of security, this perfect town where everyone gets along, illustrated in such a cute way with relaxing pastels to make you feel all safe and secure.
The Samantha goes to the big town…
Neat and methodical, but not safe and secure for her targets.
Then disaster strikes and murder comes to Woodbrook and killings start to happen in this perfect sleepy town.
This is a brilliant debut full of twists and turns and plays on the tropes of serial killers really well with the setting really adding to the feelings of disconnect when the killings start.
The splashes of red in the pastels is brilliant shocking after such muted tones throughout.
Looking forward to seeing what Patrick Horvarth comes up with next.
