Okay, I loved The Hollow, and I loved The Haunted, and I was really excited to see how it all ended in The Hidden… but I was highly disappointed. I just felt depressed after reading it. It just wasn’t a satisfying ending for the series or for Abbey.

The story up to the end was amazing. There was plenty of goings on to keep me reading and I loved how Caspian and Abbey’s relationship developed. But I just saw the ending going in a totally different direction from what actually happened.

I think this series had so much potential and whilst The Hidden was great until the ending, I felt that those final few chapters just made the other events from the series quite irrelevant.

I really loved these books but the ending to this one seemed a bit rushed. I felt as though the first 200 pages could have been toned down and led up to a juicy climax. Vincent turned out to be not as daunting as he was made out to be. Abby hit him with a piece of wood and she was able to escape? I was hoping for something a bit more frightening than that. But I did love the love scenes when Caspian and Abby were able to touch. It was heartfelt and moving and you could read how much they loved one another. Overall, I loved the series and the idea of having Kristen come back and Abby take her place was nice. I cannot help but wonder though, does Kristen remember anything? Makes me think of Abby's parents too.

hmm.

Okay.. Better than first 2 because has a little bit of chaotic adventures and a little kidnapping.. And new friends.. and some slightly creepy scenes.. We love the whole shades turning to whatever.. And think it was so fucking sad her mom bought her the store and she went and died.. Or well they put the timeline right... Which is great because Kristen is back alive and with ben and they miss her, but she's with Caspian and its how its supposed to be. and I thinks she's happy. so all good.

*SIGH* This book came in yesterday, and I started reading it, ignoring all the other books in my to-read pile. My feelings are very mixed, I absolutely loved it, but at the same time, I want to throw it against the wall and scream... I think I still need time to process what happened.

Very good for the second half of the book! The first half of the book was a little slow and hard to get into. I was not as impressed with this book as I was with the first two in this series, but I'm glad I finished it out. The series as a whole was a lot of fun to read and a great retelling of the Sleepy Hollow series. In particular, The Hollow (the first one) was a great read.
