I don't know what was even going on! It went from romance to spicy to murder mystery to romcom and it weirded me out. Honestly, it was chaotic.

Twisted alright. Very Fifty Shades/365 days vibe, with a healthy dose of murder and trauma. Alex & Ava frustrated me a few times. It wasn’t as clean cut and I felt the book was shouting at me at times. I’m glad I gave it a whirl. Bridgette intrigues me.

Very meh romance and plot, it tried very hard to tackle some deeper issues but I felt like it weighed the book down and created a sort of cringe dynamic. Fathers killing daughters, uncles killing families, some smoldering man planning his revenge plot, and then there's some smut sprinkled sparingly about. Not groundbreaking or incredibly spicy, and actually kinda boring to read (especially during the end), especially since it reuses a lot of old tropes and every thing is pretty predictable.
