Twisted Love disappointed me. I expected more from the plot, but instead I was shown a toxic, unhealthy relationship between two people struggling with personal issues. 

The writing itself wasn't the greatest, but the characters are really the downfall of the story. They all are Mary Sue-esque, having physical features that are too perfect or skills/qualities too necessary to the plot, .i.e.

Alex having connections with the FBI which aids in arresting Ava's father.

Overall, it was a struggle to get through this book. I didn't care for the characters or the plot, it was predictable at best. It was concerning with how Alex treated Ava and I feel like it promotes unhealthy relationships. Hurting others isn't attractive, stalking isn't attractive, possessiveness isn't attractive.

 Yo os juro que me empecé a leer este libro y lo odiaba con toda mi alma. Menos mal que lo continué.
Tengo que decir que prefiero a Ava antes que a Alex (aunque tengo que admitir que este me ha acabado cayendo bastante bien a pesar de que al principio no podía con él).
Eso sí, tengo que decir que este libro no ha sido PARA NADA lo que me esperaba y que, además, va mejorando a medida que pasan las páginas (lo que, vuelvo a decir, era fácil porque casi lo abandono al principio). Pero de verdad que me ha valido la pena.
Además que ha habido ciertos plot twist que... Ni siquiera me imaginaba que esta saga iba a tener tramas más allá de la romántica así que imaginaos cómo me he quedado cuando he visto

toda la acción que tenía. Y MADRE MÍA LO DEL PADRE, ES QUE CASI ME CAIGO DE CULO.

Nada, ya solo por esa sorpresa le tengo que dar las 3.5 estrellas que le estoy dando.

I enjoyed some of the plots. Lots of drama. Ava is ignoring some major red flags from Alex. There’s a time and a place for possessiveness but he definitely takes it to far. Erratic and impulsive for someone supposed to be so calculated. Borderline sociopathic behavior. Also did not enjoy the bragging inner monologue. Odd mix of intelligent then very base animal and territorial.

Ava and Alex both have some CPTSD and it adds to the very DARK romance they find with each other. I am not a fan of possessive/borderline abusive behavior so Alex was definitely a turn off. He is possessive, manipulating and gas lights Ava which is something Ava has struggled with her whole life from her dad.

This book was... well it was mid for me. The beginning was very interesting, I loved getting to know the characters and finding out backstories and such but once I got about halfway through, it just didn't have that spark for me anymore. Really the only thing I was mildly interested in was the sex 💀 and by the time I got about 2/3 into the book, even that kind of became boring in a way. Overall, just very mid for me. I am interested in reading the other books just because I do love the whole cast, I honestly just don't like Alex 🤭
