I’m so glad Spider found love and enjoyed that she was a powerful female lead. She became the new leader in the same way as Kate and Declan and I loved the power shift being the female instead of the male. Reyna was a great character from the start and Spiders infatuation with her made the steamy scenes perfect. I loved that the wedding brought them together, it was predictable but I wanted it.

The fourth and final book in the series! I think it wrapped up the series as much as possible but I would have like more with what is happening with the 13. They’ve been mentioned throughout the series and if this is truly the last book, then I feel we didn’t get a good ending for them. Overall the book was well written and the spicy scenes didn’t disappoint. But Reyna and Spider just weren’t high in the order for favorite couple. :/

Two and a Half Rounded to Three

This is the final Queens and Monsters books and it was… good? I don’t know honestly. For 50% of the book the MMC and the FMC detest each other and are downright mean. The twist in the middle was predictable and I called it on page one which lead to a rather boring overarching story that seemed to detract from the relationship between Spider and Reyna. And by the end of the book it is almost entirely from Reyna’s POV and Spider seems like a side character. Spider is a delightfully feral hero for those that like such things and more than once I actually laughed when he was bring OTT.

Their relationship in bed is great and there is a solid series of intimate moments that I wanted further explored where they talked as partners and actually had a civil conversation. This only made me want more and left me disappointed though.

This was a little bit of a rough start and I wasn’t a fan of the female narrator. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get into it. Thankfully, that changed! I ended up enjoying this a lot. Reyna was bad ass! And I know Spider went through a lot in the last book so I was happy to see him get his HEA. Overall this was a great finale to this series.
