At first I was unsure about it this book. It’s starts with planning an arranged marriage of Spider and an Italian mafia princess. But I was creeped out at the thought of an 18 yr old with a 38 year old. Reyna’s is the FMC is the real star of the show. She is a survivor of domestic violence. She is smart, cunning, sarcastic, and a savage with words. She is real badass and who lives up to her nickname, “Viper”. She fits in well with the rest of the FMCs lol.

But I’ll be honest- this wasn’t my favorite in the series. Don’t get me wrong I still loved it. I just happened to like the others more.

Personally I didn't enjoy this instalment of the Queens and monsters series as much as books 1 to 3. There was angst, snarky banter and was a slowbum but there was just something that didn't capture me like the others. Reyna was a strong badass FMC who through prior events and her history had to become the strong woman she is today but she has a snarky bite. Homer "spider" takes one for the Irish team... An arranged marriage though Lili isn't who he wants. Overall the romance was there the smut and Connection was there characters were well developed and the banter was good.
