My favourite out this series, even though I haven’t read the next one, I just know this going to be my favourite.
I loved every minute of this. Breanna and Razor are so perfect for each other. I loved their story so much. I did not want it to end! đź’•đź’•
The plot in Walk the Edge kept me hooked until the very end. At the start it was the sweet romance between the two characters and near the end it was the mystery of how Razor's mom died. I like that it was a couple different genres in one! It made it so much better to read.
Part of me is kind of hoping this ends up being a longer series but we'll see! This is a great book for people who don't think contemporaries have enough action in them.
This book was everything that I had hoped it would be and more. Breanna was relateable and a heartbreaking reality of what high school is like for someone that is different. Her situation may be a bit more dramatic than the average high schooler but it was a reminder of how much being on the receiving end of a bully or bad school situation can affect every single aspect of your life and turn everything upside down. I felt so insanely protective of Breanna and my heart broke for her. No one should have to deal with the things she was dealing with and then come home to a family that treated her like they did. Breanna was literally an outsider in every part of her existence. It was only fitting to find herself at home with the only other person that could understand exactly what being an outsider felt like.
Thomas "Razor" Turner was the epitome of everything that Breanna should have stayed away from. In his own ways, Razor was just as much an outsider as she was. Not only was he a member of the feared Reign of Terror but his mom's death made him well known among his peers. Even in the ranks of his club, the one place he should have belonged, Razor stuck out and didn't fit in as well as the others. Considered one of the toughest and most misunderstood members, it was only fitting that Razor would find himself at home in Breanna's arms, mind, and heart.
Walk The Edge was absolutely beautiful. I can actually say that I like this book a tiny bit more than the first, though that is definitely a tough call. It is an amazing followup to the first book in the Thunder Road series and continued the legacy of some of it's most well remembered characters in all the right ways. I couldn't get enough of it and I can't wait to continue the series and see which characters McGarry decides to focus on next.
Absolutely beautiful. One of the best books I've read of 2016, easily.
Rating: 5 Stars.
Favorite Character: Breanna & Razor.
The second book in Katie McGarry’s Thunder Road series is here and just as addictive and consuming as its predecessor. I absolutely loved Razor and Bre’s story, and it was so good to be back with these characters (yes, we get to see some of our favourites from Nowhere But Here, as well as meet some newbies).
Razor and Be…what can I say about these two? Though their love was certainly beautiful, their lives were wrought with strife, which together, made for such a gripping read! One sitting is all it took for me to read this book from beginning to end, and I thoroughly enjoyed every heart-breaking, heart-pounding, and heart-felt moment packed within the pages.
Was there anything I didn’t like about Walk The Edge? In short, the answer is no. Razor’s book was long awaited for me, and it was well worth the time it took to reach my book-hungry hands. I devoured this beautiful, emotional read with eager eyes and a full heart. I loved every second!
“That works for me, too.”

Walk the Edge, the second installment in the Thunder Road series is every bit as emotional, dramatic, sexy and swoony as its predecessor, Nowhere But Here. In Nowhere But Here we are introduced us to the fictional Reign of Terror motorcycle club and all of its rules, traditions and history, but in Walk the Edge we're given an even closer look into what makes this group tick. I absolutely loved getting to know this group of people even better, and it allowed me to become even more invested in where this story and subsequent books will go. As I said in my review for Nowhere But Here, this series introduced me to a way of life that is the total opposite of life as I know it, and that's why I love it. It's such a loyal, close-knit community, and the love these people have for each other is so evident in McGarry's writing. You can't help but fall in love with them too and become totally invested in their lives and desperately wish for each person's happy ending.
In Walk the Edge we meet Razor and Breanna, two people from totally opposite worlds that find themselves drawn to each other. The chemistry between these two is undeniable and I was ON BOARD from the very first moment they met. This relationship worked for me for so many reasons. The most abundant being that both Razor and Breanna may seem completely different, but in reality they both want the same thing out of life. A sense of belonging. Their stories and motivations were so authentic and the way in which McGarry brought them together only strengthened the feeling of destiny for this couple.
There's no denying that Razor and Breanna are meant for each other...but that doesn't always mean a happy ending. Even the most destined of love stories can have serious road blocks.
Which is another thing I loved about this book. McGarry turned what seemed like the typical love story trope, bad boy meets good girl, and made it totally messy, intense and heart-breaking. As much as I pulled for these two, I totally got why there were reasons why it wouldn't be easy. McGarry is a master class in these kinds of stories, actually. She's not afraid to get down in the mud and get messy with her couples, and it just makes me love her books even more. Walk the Edge is a perfect example of how amazing of a storyteller McGarry is. This book is compelling, thought-provoking and difficult. But mixed in with those tough emotions is an overpowering sense of love, hope and faith.
You know what else McGarry does exceptionally well? Writing a male lead character that is totally sexy and totally swoony, and I am TOTALLY obsessed with Razor. This guy made my heart melt and my temperature rise. He's so sexy and soooo, so sweet at the same time. This guy is utter perfection and I couldn't get enough. For as much as I loved Razor, Breanna was my girl! I want to be her best friend and I was so proud of her in some big moments in this book. She made the tough choices, took some BIG chances and did so without knowing where those decisions would lead her. Breanna's bravery was inspiring and the fact that she didn't see it in herself was so frustrating. But, when you're trying to discover yourself a little self-doubt is natural, right??!
By the way, Breanna and Razor together? Ohhh heck YES! The private moments between these two didn't fail to deliver, and I love McGarry for it. She definitely knows how to write some sexy scenes!
So this review turned out to be a LOT longer than I thought it would be, but I just had so many feels from reading this book. I absolutely loved it and think it's a perfect continuation of the Thunder Road series. It was everything I wanted it to be and more and everything I love about Katie McGarry books! I am so excited to read the next two books in this series and see what's next for the Reign of Terror family!

This review was originally posted on what sarah read...
She is the the middle child and her parents depend on her.
His mother was killed 10-12 years ago and he still wants justice for her death.
High school drama mixed with heart felt emotions and tears.
It made me cry (because I'm 17 and it hits home)
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK FOR TEENS.
As always, Katie never fails to deliver a swoony romance. The chemistry between Razor and Breanna is amazing, swear! But at the same time, I find myself not as impressed with the plotting because I felt like there was too much going on. I just wanted to focus on the characters I was falling in love with as I read, and while Katie McGarry surely nails everyone's character arcs once again, I still have reservations about the story execution as a whole.
BUT IF YOU LIKE ELECTRIFYINGLY HOT KISSING SCENES, ABSOLUTELY READ THIS AND EVERYTHING KATIE McGARRY WRITES!
