I first read this book years ago when it was published under its original title, Devil's Kiss, and fell in love with Billi SanGreal. She's a total badass and lives in a dark and gritty London where ghosts, vampires, and other creatures go bump in the night. As a member of the Templars its up to her to help put these creatures down and protect the normals like you and me. In this first installment Billi's is inducted into the Templars and is quickly swept up in trying to stop a plague that is ravaging the city. (Plagues....how very 2020!) The Templar's Daughter is a fast paced story, filled with several twists and turns that will sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. Billi is filled with grit and iron and deep down (deep deep down) a heart of gold. She only wants what is best for those around her even if she's butting heads with those that she is the closest to. Old fans of the original are sure to enjoy returning to the world of Billi SanGreal which is kept fresh with some added scenes and new fans are sure to become fans of this tough as nails heroine as she battles evil and saves the world from ending. I can't wait to see the new updates to come in Book 2, The Templar's Witch (formerly Dark Goddess)!
