Very confusing in the beginning. A bit all over the place but more h Th ing started to make sense later. Did learn this was Islington’s first book, so that can be forgiven and hoping the second is a bit more smooth

I'm feeling iffy about this book. While I think it was well-written, it got a little convoluted and there was in fact "too much walking around." While the ending sort of involved a cliffhanger, I haven't jumped to start the next book. I prefer Islington's other work, but will get around to finishing this series eventually.

4.5 stars! This was so good. The blurb telling Sanderson fans will like this was not wrong.
I liked sooo many of the characters! There was a lot of development. This is mostly plot driven but all the characters are so compelling.
