I loved this story, plain & simple. I loved it even better than The Martian. It has more layers to it, and just as much (if not more) science. I honestly see myself reading this one again, which is extremely unusual for me.

Five stars for Hail Mary, which means that no matter you taste in books, you should read this book.

This book is a great story at many levels. It's a story of survival, of friendship, of courage. It's full of life and science lessons. It has heroes and villains. Death and life. What more can you ask for?

If you are afraid about the science, don't be. It is not as heavy as "The Martian". Still, it'll be a story that "The Martian" fans will love.

Honestly, I believe this is the best book Andy Weir has written so far. And I hope he keeps them coming.

A very quick read! An overall lighthearted tone but when there are heavy moments, they hit well. It balances well between serious and fun, and doesn’t give you tonal whiplash. There’s about two reveals that I actually gasped at and multiple times I laughed. The ending also felt well earned.
