The Great Undoing is almost a lyrical read with the way the author writes and describes what the characters are seeing. Sharlene has a way with words that pull you into the novel and made moving from one chapter to the next very easy.
However, I will admit I did find the flicking back and forth between different times a bit confusing, but I was also reading this while I had covid so my mind wasn't exactly functioning at its best!
The content of this book was very heavy, from science, culture, politics, morals. It is a novel that makes you think and question as you read. The book challenges so many current beliefs and thoughts. A great debut novel.
