Thank you for the arc!

This is one of my favorite contemporary romances this year! An unexpected Pride & Prejudice retelling and an absolute must-read if you love healthy communication, witty banter, positive body & mental health rep, and the he fell first (and he fell hardest😂) trope.

Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

I’ve been patiently waiting for this one and boy did it live up to my expectations. First the representation in this book was truly incredible I couldn’t find a better word to describe it. I love enemies to lovers and Alex and Ely gave it all. The slow learning of each other had me sucked it. I gasped and almost cried a few times but it was all worth it.

Thank you so much Leonor for an arc of this in exchange for an honest review. Unfortunately I’m a little late with this one because life. But here is my review.

Leonor does real life, feel good romance SO well. The connection she creates between the characters, and the readers to the characters? Incredible. The way she fleshes out the characters in a way that makes them fun, fresh, and life like? Lovely. The way I stayed up late last night binging this because UGH ITS SO DELICIOUS?! Incredible. I truly love Leonor’s writing style, and this whole world she has created. This book made me feel good, gave me the escapism I was craving, and made me smile so much. Absolutely love.

Oh my gosh! This BOOK!
This book hits all the spots. ALL OF THEM

Latina check
Fat Rep check
STEAM check
Opposites Attract Check
Amazing mental health rep Check

Elena (Ely) and Alex have the most horrible of first interactions. Yet they were always laced with something deeper, attraction def being one of those elements in that "other"

One night Alex and Ely decide to give in to the lusty attraction, they are counting on never seeing each other again, so it makes it easy, right?
WRONG!
They end up working together!!!! Awkwardddddddd

Anywho, Alex has a stick up his butt. He is such a grump. Always so bristly and rude. We soon find out he is battling depression and actively seeks out mental health counseling, anti depressants and soon observes an internal shift.

All during his process he is working alongside Ely, and she is magnetic and a force. The attraction always there, in which we get these tiny little glimpses of their professional mask slipping. Which is so delightful, gah! It's delicious to witness.

This romance book has all the elements I need, plus the writing is so beautiful. Full 5 stars!
