I love the Wicked Witches series, that is no secret! And I really love the Chief and the way he is more like a father to the girls than their real dads (I am gonna be pissed if he doesn't walk Bay down the isle/forest path whatever one day if Landon gets around to asking her), but the story itself was kinda flat. Not much mystery, not much investigating, not much of anything. I still gave the story 4 stars because of the special relationship that is highlighted in the book. Let's face it, the mystery here is just a setting for describing the place Terry has in these girls' live.

After rereading the book for a second time I moved my rating up to 5 stars, because this was never supposed to be a mystery story, I get that now and the final scene alone is worth ten stars and makes me wish I could draw. *sigh*
