Not my favorite one. I was shocked when I realized Adrian was Adrian (the intertwining stories are fun!)…and this one had unique plots like hoarding and Richard. A little dark with the theme of impending death. Weird that she talked about Adrian in all her videos, and weird he went all in from the get-go.

This was ok. I didn’t love it. Following Vanessa and Adrian, I liked the idea of it but I got about halfway through and was just bored to be honest. She was worried about ALS, he was stubborn, they had a fight, and I just wasn’t super into it.

This book was so sweet. I fell in love with the characters, like usual with Abby Jimenez's books. Vanessa has received custody of her dysfunctional sister's infant daughter. Soon after, she meets her apartment neighbor, Adrian. Of course, we know what comes next. It was so charming to see their the two's relationship develop and to see Adrian fall in love with taking care of the baby too. Like usual, Jimenez incorporates beautifully written yet heartbreaking trauma that the characters have been forced to endure and "deal with." I find it to be really responsibly well-written, which is an enduring quality of Jimenez's books - many authors don't bother with that. I think I have 2 more of Jimenez's books to read and I've been drawing them out because I don't want to be caught up with her catalogue yet!
