This one's for the chronically ill girlies.

Holy hell. I didn't think I'd like the story too much because of the baby aspect, but I was blown away by this one. The book is so important to me as someone affected by chronic illness. Jimenez had me laughing often, and in the second half, tears joined the crew. It was a really meaningful story despite its humour. The relationship between Vanessa and Adrian felt so organic and beautiful. So much time dedicated to building their friendship! Their desire to be around each other, in any form, till the end was just... chef's kiss.

Life's Too Short was heartbreaking in the best way. It almost had me convinced it wouldn't be a happy ending (but it was, phew!!!). I can't wait to re-experience it in the future.

“He pulled away to look at me. “Let’s make this the best time of our lives. Live every day like it’s your last”
I sniffed. “And when one of them is my last?”
“You’re my soul mate. I’ll find you in the next life. Like i found you in this one.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Just that quote in itself should pull you in and think punch my momma in the throat and bite me because when is it my turn!!!
No but really I cannot begin to express how much I loved this book. First Vanessa was fucking hilarious and so inspiring. Adrian was your serious, hard worker till he dies, and loving character. Its giving grumpy x sunshine vibes.
I annotated the fuck out of this book with so many inspiring quotes & so many romantic instances that made me punch the wall and scream. This was a slow burn read in regards to romance and having duo POV and capturing the moments they fell in love with one another yet are both afraid to fall in love together, just MUAH.
Literally please read it that’s all I will say. You will love the characters and love their journey together.
I loved the narration on this audiobook. So good. I also loved this story. It was sweet, fun, emotional, sad at times, cute. So many different things. The epilogue was almost too good to be true based on the ALS worries that were woven throughout the story.
CW: ALS, drug addiction, mental illness
I really enjoyed this. I love a good found family (ish) trope and I especially loved getting to see Them fall in love and really compliment each other as a couple. Since I finally finished all 3 books in the series I will have to say that this one is better than the first in my opinion but nothing tops the happy ever after playlist. This book was really lighthearted and overall a quick and fluffy read.  Just reading about them interacting and falling in love was enough for me.
Synopsis: Vanessa, a famous YouTuber who travels to live her best life before she dies due to ALS, meets her neighbor one night at 3am when he tries to convince her to get her baby to shut up. Seeing the terrible state she’s in because of the baby, he offers to help and they quickly fall for each other but hold back from dating. For him it’s because she doesn’t date and for her it’s because she doesn’t believe she’ll live long enough.
This book deals with a lot of heavy topics with her sisters drug addiction and other family issues but it’s handled well and is dispersed in with the fluff and romantic/happier moments.
I ugly cried for the last quarter of the book. Good did I love it. A beautiful meaningful impactful romance. I adored the found parenthood aspect watching two people unexpectedly fall in love with their daughter, and each other. As much as I loved the whole book, the beginning with them being friends felt the most special and real.
