I thought this could be a fun spin on a villain origin story but I honestly was so bored the whole time. I feel like the characters were super flat and undeveloped and the plot wasn't interesting enough to keep me invested because it was essentially just a retelling. I liked Aurora as a character but we didn't truly get to see any of her personality until at least 3/4 of the way into the book. It wasn't a bad book, I just don't think it was for me.
