Such a sweet closed door Christmas romance. If you like brothers best friend, grumpy sunshine, forced proximity or enemies to lovers- you will love this sweet book!

You know what? I actually thought this book was really cute. I know it’s gotten a little bit of hate regarding stereotyping/gender norms but… it’s a book, it’s drama; drama can’t drama without drama.

Lauren: grumpy asf with a lot of baggage
Will: optimistic and charming asf with lots of baggage

This book had me giggling, crying & kicking my feet!!! The CUTEST Christmas book. It was just like a hallmark movie. However I wish they would have came up with something more creative than Noel joy, overall I loved this book!

This book was such a trip!! (Pun intended) Lauren and Will failed to keep the stupid smile from staying spread across my face the whole time!
Lauren is a very rigid character who sticks to a very carefully planned schedule, and Will, well, isn't. He takes her along on a trip across the country, stopping at all the sights and more. There were times when she aggravated me because she would lash out and be so mean to him. But she understood what she was doing too at that point and tried to back off some more.
It was such a roller coaster ride for their relationship. They constantly circled each other. And the revelations of their past!! Oof! Talk about baggage!
Obviously, it's a romcom so it's not a spoiler to say that the way they each helped the other carry that baggage was so beautiful! They deserved the happiness they found, and it was a beautiful, and sometimes frustrating, journey to get there!

"Yeah, I feel super sorry for you that you have to be locked in a car with a guy that looks like Chris Evans after the super soldier serum."

Well this tugged my heartstrings, and it was a joy to read because the journey from 'no, I don't want to ride with my brother's best friend who has no idea he broke my heart' to 'this road trip isn't too bad and maybe my heart can be pieced back together' was so much more. During the road trip a long buried issue comes to light and I just appreciated Lauren and Will's easy going banter, vibe and the gradual romance that left me happy sighing. This was charming, heartwarming and an absolute comfort read.

"But if the stars align and things work out, the first time I kiss this woman is going to be because I want to --not because some tradition told me I had to."

Read if you like:
- dual pov's
- reverse grumpy x sunshine
- brother's best friend
- second chance romance
- forced proximity
- found family
- only one bed
- Hallmark Christmas vibes
- grace, love & second chances
- 🌶 sweet kisses

Number of times Steph got teary eyed? Four. Sadly, no Will to wipe them away for me.

cw: alcohol abuse, parental neglect

This was extremely cute and cozy, but 3rd person POV did not work for it.
If it had been first person, it would be at least 4 stars but it just felt awkward.
Imma still read the next one though.
