I inhaled this book. It was written perfectly. Wasn’t cheesy like I was expecting since it was a Christmas book, haha. I would read this book even off Christmas season. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Such a cute read, gives tons of Hallmark vibes. Brothers childhood friend turned lover, over some obstacles they ended up discussing. I wish it was longer so there was more of them as an actual couple. I also wish we would have learned more about Wills rock bottom that made him turn his life around.

A lovely, fluffy, christmas read! Like a Hallmark movie but less cheesy.

First Christmas book review of the season! I’m happy I decided to kick off my December holiday reads with this one. This book was chock full of forgiveness, grace and Christmas coziness. A great story of how people CAN change and how you shouldn’t judge anyone too harshly. I loved all the little historic stops they made during their drive home. The banter between Will and Lauren was adorable and relatable. The spider in the hotel scene and the Pride and Prejudice references were also great! Feeling very much in the Christmas spirit after finishing this one

Round up to 3.5
I wanted a light cute holiday read and that's what I got. Not quite Hallmark/Lifetime more Netflix/Hulu

Well this book was cotton candy, sugar sweet with some funny and heart warming moments throughout . If you are needing a book that wraps you up in a warm welcoming hug, this one sure fits!!

Lauren Richmond, not keen on Christmas, seldom returns home for the holidays due to her TV set decorator job. This year, pressured by family expectations, she hitchhikes with her brother's friend, Will, her unresolved crush since college. Forced together on a road trip, they confront old feelings and differences, discovering that perhaps the second part of their history might end differently.

My only complaint is that this story was too short. I would go on a free-spirited 7 day roadtrip with Will anytime (and that’s saying something because I am a planner). He was such a sweet MMC with a painful past but honest future. I really liked how both characters were opposites but complemented each other in such significant ways. Their banter was so fun! I caught myself laugh-out-loud several times. I can’t wait to read this again next Christmas

DNF’d after 26%. He’s the fun, flirty, ex playboy, older brothers best friend. She’s the workaholic, no fun, “I don’t ware makeup and that makes me different”, i don’t sleep because sleep isn’t productive, I totally don’t still have a crush on my older brothers best friend.

I cringed at the level of stereotypical and honestly misogynist this book is. I almost stopped after the first chapter because the guy said something along the lines of, “she seems like the type of girl who would get mad at me for being and gentleman and holding the door open for her because that’s how women are now”. And honestly it didn’t get much better from there.
