I watched a TikTok about how someone hated the first one and thought Heather was annoying, couldn't be me. I loved our trip to the fae world of Moth. I do wish they were better at communicating through out the story but they were both going through a world of trauma. Heather was fucking killed and Moth is reliving lost traumatic memories. I'm very excited for the next one, we will be getting Moth's perspective of this wedding!

Started this series as a joke, and I’m so sad to report that I actually really enjoy it (despite the amount of typos and the Mothman sex). It’s fun, sue me! It’s also rare that you get chronic illness rep with a FMC, even in more serious books, so shoutout to the author for giving some visibility to mentally ill girlies who also struggle with thyroid issues.

The Mothman is an urban legend I enjoy and the first book in this series was delightful. This sequel was amazing and I look forward to seeing where the story goes.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

While book 1 has my heart, this was a cute follow up!

The Good:
- Not too predictable. You know how things will play out but it does not feel like a play by play
- The equivalence to a really cozy book series!
- Swoony and cute! Moth is adorable!
- I really resonated with Heather and I felt like her insecurities are very similar to my own
- I loved Moth's sister

The Bad:
- I wish we had gotten a bit more smut and maybe included Moth in his moth-form
- I did not enjoy the miscommunication trope and Heather's communication skills annoyed me
- I think there was more room for Heather to be a bit more herself and get to know her

The Ugly:
- none
