I raced though it, living in that world, amazed by these teenagers who had more courage than I ever did.
I didn't expect it to go where it did.

The book itself is beautiful with sound waves (I think?) printed on the edges of the pages and the last few pages become darker and darker with images of space. Glad I checked out the hardback from the library.

The quotes from astronauts at the end of the book made me cry.

I finished this book sobbing. Was the ending even sad? It made me feel sad like 'To Build a Home' by The Cinematic Orchestra makes me sad. It made me feel a lot, not just sad; there was a lot of hope in this book too.

Not a lot of stories get me to shut of my structure-analysis-brain like this one did. I couldn't tell you one thought I had about plot or character or pacing. I wasn't thinking about it. It never occurred to me to think about it. I just let the words happen to me.

I don't know how to review this book and I don't know who to recommend it to. I do know I will be buying a copy. I loved it.

The weight of the stars made be cry in the best way. The characters are well written, my only issue was having some questions on the space travel. Overall that element wasn’t realistic and it took me out of the story a little towards the end. That said the book is incredible and I highly recommend it.
