I do not have the slightest idea why I would have read a book like this, but I apparently read it. I suppose that it was interesting, and I can see why fans of wrestling would be super interested in it. It wasn't the worst thing I have ever read, but not my favorite. I found it interesting to learn how he got into this career path and what he got out of it.

A fantastic autobiography about a topic I love so much. I've read a lot of biographies of wrestlers, normally written partly by them with the help of a professional writer, but to think that Foley wrote this entirely by himself is amazing, he has such a natural talent for writing. The book is a doorstop but it never felt like a chore to read, even if the action slows towards the end. The book covers all the smash hits of Foley's career and his family life, I really feel like you get Foley's personality popping out of the pages, when I read it I can hear his voice in my head. If you like wrestling or are at least a fan of Foley, the reasons we love this silly yet inspiring man becomes very evident in this book. A must-read for wrestling fans!
Wow! What this guy has gone through! Great read!

This book is word vomit in the best sense of the word. Growing up as a long-time Mick Foley fan, reading his first memoir really put me in the driver’s seat for his career and I was chomping at the bit for more. Mick did not disappoint. This book is just a damn good time at a breakneck pace, which is also the reason why it’s a bit scatter-brained and the chapters don’t really act as chapters, but more as “blurbs” of Foley’s thoughts as he thinks them. Regardless, this book is funny, enriching, and it had a lot more heart than I anticipated, which I applaud Foley for immensely. 4.25/5, would recommend to both wrestling fans and non-fans.

Starts off a little slow, but then you get into it. There are some tangents about stuff that seems off-topic, but it fits in. Also, real funny. I really think Mick Foley is a good guy after reading this, and him recalling his wrestling matches are so exciting. He sounds so animated when writing describing something he really likes, and he is great at painting a bright picture with his words.
