As always when it comes to Thirst it is better than I hoped for, I simply love this series!

Christopher Pike did it again: he has surprised me again with how wonderfully he wove his tale into one cohesive thought. I really enjoyed the plot twists and how he worked his previous novels into this one.

Every book of his has a theme and these themes keep on getting weirder as you go on, but somehow it works. I don't know how he does it but it just makes sense that it is that weird. From second comings, time travel, and finally, aliens, you just know that this book will keep you on the edge of your seat. This book was more interesting than the first trilogy for me because it had a more spiritual side to it.

The characters are better and I like Alisa more now. I loved learning more about her past and how she could still mature even if she is incredibly old. I wouldn't change a thing about her; she is strong, loving, independent, and intelligent. What more could you want from a heroine? Especially after Bella Swan.

The writing style was still the same but I've learned to appreciate it. Maybe a five thousand year old vampire does talk in a detached and stilted manner. But I do commend him for removing the stupid pieces of dialogue in the first trilogy. I really could not take that.

Overall, the book was satisfying, especially the ending. I loved the ending. What I don't understand is how there is still a vol. 3 with this ending? I thought she was a goner but I guess I was wrong.

As good as the first!

Thirst 2 is the last three books in the original last vampire series.

If I tell you anything about these, it will give them away. So, I won’t tell you about the plots. I’ll give you a hint...it involves Sita, the last vampire, and beings who want her blood and/or want her dead. Haha...that also described the first book. Yet somehow it’s not repetitive or dull to me. Quite the opposite! Try putting them down and it feels like Sita is compelling you to keep going.

I was surprised that I didn’t notice any change between this and the original series. I expected a different ending in order for the series to continue. Yet there wasn’t one. It still ends with Seymour and his computer. This makes me even more curious about the next books!!

Read this series y’all! See why Sita grabs your heart and not in that vampiry I’m going to eat it way

I liked the fourth and fifth novel of this novel better then the sixth novel. Overall the story lines were good. I wasn't crazy about the last novel story line it was a little far fetched for my taste. But it wasn't that bad to were I couldn't finish it far from it! I love this series and would recommend to all my vampire loving friends!

Vampires, aliens, lizard people aliens and... Time travel? Also, a Christ child? Bonkers. Completely bonkers.

Well, I liked the books in this series much more than the books grouped in Thirst #1. Sita became a human again at the start of this book and with becoming human also seemed to start to have honest emotions - feelings of love, empathy, forgiveness. I liked her progression in this book BUT...the plot went some very strange places. Some I liked - I liked the ongoing discussion in this book about religion, faith, and spirituality. Some of the insights in this book made me think so I can imagine how it may make a young adult think or rethink faith. I liked the time travel aspects of this collection of books as well as how it seamlessly intertwined with a beautiful and perfect ending that had me shedding a few tears at the end. However, some parts I didn't like - such as the aliens and creatures from another dimension. I feel like Pike tried to just incorporate too much into this book and it made the story-archs seems schizophrenic at best. When I started reading about the aliens I just thought: sigh, oh please. I still think it wasn't well written - choppy and disjointed. But about half way through this book I realized what I disliked so much about Sita as a character, as a vampire, and as the book in total. She was just too naive. For someone over 5,000 years old, for someone immortal, for someone who is the most powerful vampire....well I just don't know how she survived as long as she did. She didn't learn from her mistakes, kept making them over and over again, and just came across more and more like a ditzy blond. I think that I could accept the ruthlessness or the emotional disconnect, but it is the lack of learning, lack of growing, lack of "smart" that I didn't like. There is a Thirst #3 and I will most definitely NOT be reading that book. The original series wrapped up so beautifully that there is no need for me to continue reading a newer add on to the series.

they were good, but the fact that she dies at the end then comes back in the 3rd set was a bit annoying
