Endearing middle-grade chapter book focused on a 10 year old Livy and Bob, the mysterious green creature she finds in the guest room closet at her grandmother's house. The chapters alternate between Livy's perspective and Bob's. My 8 year old enjoyed this and was anxious to find out exactly what/who Bob was and where he came from...which is the primary plot line of the book.

This was a pleasantly unique story. Bob and Livy's relationship was sweet and I liked how they worked together. I enjoyed the illustrations and how everything turned out.

Even though this was a quick and easy read, I did find myself, zoning out, a somewhere around the middle. I do still think it was worth the read.

This is a lighthearted story about friendship and coming of age. I thought this was a fun, light, and quick read.

It was cute, but considering the writing team and the killer premise, I kind of hoped for more. The ending was sweet, but the perspective switching never really paid off in my opinion as I'm not sure what insights were provided by having one character or another narrating a given chapter. It wasn't a bad book by any measure, but it just didn't really do it for me.

I wasn't sure about this at first, but I'm really happy I stuck with it!
