The writing was beautiful, but sometimes the floweriness of it, prevented me from getting into the story.
I liked Fia's character growth and how throughout the story she learned to accept her magic, to love herself and years of neglect. This was my favourite part of the story. The twists and turns regarding her origin were also great.
On the romance side, there were two romantic interests.
One of them got on my last nerves, I did not like him at all. Every time they had a scene together I could not wait for the scene to end. I understood why she liked him, but I wanted her to get over him muuuuuch faster.
The other one was OK. It started off nicely, there was banter and action, but at some point I felt like it moved to quickly.

Purple prose. True fae. A likable MC. Fairytale/folktale feeling. Very verbose, meandering. It was both irritatingly slow and dense, and easy to read. I really wish the action had started faster. It's hard to find the words to describe my feelings about this book. It felt irrationally long, and yet made total sense. The characters were interesting. Everyone's reasoning was understandable and manipulative.

This was a fine tale. It spans a lot of time. I liked it. I didn't love it.

I don't know what to think of the ending. I hope the next book answers the questions i still have.

Im not really sure what to say here. I enjoyed the Irish Narrator in the AB.

I just want to know if Rogan is okay. Thats pretty much it. Someone tell me please.

This was exactly what I wanted to read. And now I’m desperate for the next book and will have a book hangover for the rest of the day
