What a great ending to an amazing series. This series has quickly become one of my favorites. I have fallen in love with this world and all of the characters.

Aqua eyes.
The wolf. The legend.
The grey

Escape, then taken, repeat several times.
Sex. Angry rage-full sex.
Shot, bullet wounds.
Nectar. Touch. DONT touch it. Touches it, chaos ensues. Repeat.
BOOM!!!
Bang! Bang! Bang!

Character development? Nope.
Relationship development? Nope.

If I have to read “The Grey” one more time I’m going to heave my kindle out the closest window.

WHY please tell me WHY are new characters and mythical creatures with new magic that we DO NOT KNOW at all being added 50% through the final book of the series and are somehow integral to it? That doesn’t make a lick of sense, because as a reader I don’t care what happens to them at all.

You basically have needed to read all the pre-existing books in the same world to actually keep track of the millions of side characters and unexplained magical world.
The series started off well but it downhill very fast.

4.75 ⭐️ I can’t believe their story is over

I am writing this review based off the events that have happened up
To the point where I gave up and DNF I May eventually complete the series because I don’t like Leaving things unfinished. But good lord I would NEVER recommend this series to someone. If it had of been 3 books maybe. But the author just keeps repeating the same plot points (literally book 1 and 5 were recycled. Back to prison we go!) Characters repeating the same mistakes. It angered me.

At some point the good guys gotta get a win. 6 books and
This endless being thwarted at every turn seems like a money grab way to squeeze another book out.

The Brexley team only actually started making a dent in taking out part 1 of the bad guys at 68% of the book.
Other than writing about how much fucking the other characters were doing almost nothing else happened.
And as much as I love a smutty book, the author wrote a chapter about characters fucking, just to fill a chapter.
These are characters I don’t care much about and why it’s important to make them mains at the end just feels like a way to say hey! All my characters got a HEA!

In another repeat Brexleys got another element to her power, because she can be human to half human to fae to necromancer to part princess part demon…. Like the author doesn’t need to top herself every single book. This self discovery just leads to repetition. And the one thing this series DOES NOT NEED more of is repetition. Even I am repeating myself in this review!

The characters get built up, self confident like they can take on the world only for the author to tear them down because they make stupid decisions. I’m swear phrases like “I felt anger at my stupidity” and “I’m my recklessness…[something bad just happened]…” does not serve your characters.
This series began with elite trained soldiers, the best of the best, and the author ruined the exact character qualities she set up, but writing them to make stupid decisions every time they find themselves in a fight. These main characters would not be the soldiers I want called in to help me win a war and save the world. I don’t want these soldiers to help me organize a food drive.

I also found that the chemistry between Brexley and Warwick was forced in this book. Like the author spent so much time and so many words trying to express their love for each other that I actually stopped believing it.

I’m not sure if I ever will finish this book. I’ve read the spoilers so I know how it ends. Actually that probably accurate represents how I Feel about this book. I would rather read the spoilers from fans than actually read the authors written work.
