A fabulous series exploring the power of the written word, friendship, love, violence, power, sacrifice, destiny, and death. Highly recommended!

Couldn’t connect to it to finish the series after the tropes introduced in book 2 and it was due back.

I could have listened to Sefia begging me to stop reading at chapter 35, but of course I DIDN'T :)

I can't process anything rn. heart is broken.

OK, so...

This definitely was the best fantasy trilogy I've read until now. So captivating, well written and amazing plot twists. I could talk about every aspect of it for hours, but I'm going to make a list.

What I loved (about the trilogy):

• The rapresentation! It has an asian main-character, lgbtq characters (mlm, wlw, non-binary), deals with ptsd, grief and trauma.

• The worldbuilding. So many interesting characters whose stories intertwine perfectly, settled in a world that feels so alive since it's so well built.

• The concept of "what is written always ends up happening". Presenting how the characters in books would feel if they realized they have an immutable destiny is so heartbreaking yet captivating.

• The writing style, rich and smooth, although in the third book something was off, it didn't feel the same as the first two. Also, there were too many repetitions of basic concepts that are already well known since the first book

This book gave me everything it needed to give but also tore my heart out and cut it up. What a good but also heartbreaking end to this trilogy that I have loved for years. I have fallen in love with every single character in this book and all of them have a place in my heart now.

I finished the series, which was well written and full of adventure.
This was the best of the three books, I think. I was the most engaged in the story and really liked how they wrapped things up. It was filled with emotion, for sure.
