THIS REVIEW IS NOT SPOILER FREE. I want to like this book more than I do. Hopefully the others will hit more but OMFG WHAT DO YOU MEAN RYKE IS LIKE 23 WHEN DAISY IS 15 LMAO ARENT THEY SUPOOSED YO BE FAVS??? Anyway I do enjoy lily an lo's relationship that's why it's in the 3's the plot was ehh for me though. I think I wanted more buildup of their friendships with other people and their family. Maybe the other books will give me that. ALSO way too much shit going on in the first book how are we getting a brother reveal, rehab storylines, hitting rock bottom (SEVERAL TIMES), making friends. There's just so much happening and it's all going so fucking fast. How are we hitting rock bottom and then he's immediately trying to get sober??? Idk it's just the quickness and messiness of the plot I have issues with I genuinely like everything else

Loved Lo & Lil together and how they are best friends firsts and lovers second. This book had me cryingggg. They both have a lot to work on so I’m hoping we see that in the next books 🥲

So much of the story was repetitive. Yes, we know the story is about their addictions and them “working” through them. But even at the point I got to, all I read was whining and no working. Knowing that two more stories were coming for Lilly and Loren, this might get better but I had to put it down.

I loved the characters (Loren Hale has my heart), but did find Lily so frustrating at times (eek I know that’s the point, and its meant to be difficult to talk about and I know its my own biases that made it uncomfortable). I am looking forward to the rest of the books because I want to see them healthy and happy - you do really want to root for them both. In saying that, I do think a lot more could have happened in the first book, the last 50 pages were the most engaging part. It was also really heartwarming see Rose and Lily’s dynamic shift so much towards the end (found family kinda vibes with Connor and Ryke too).

This book was truly a masterpiece 😮‍💨

It wasn‘t cheesy or overdramatized at all and felt so real and also realistic, we got to see what living with horrible addictions is like.
I annotated a whole lot and it‘s unbelievable how many emotions this book made me feel. Never was there any moment where I was bored oder felt like this wasn‘t worth a second of my time.

I‘m really looking forward to the subsequent books in this series and to get to see the further journey of Lily and Lo and all the lovable side characters (btw the side characters are chef‘s kiss 😩)!

I‘m so grateful I got to read this wonderful piece of literature 🙏🏼

What if I told you I’m already attached to all of them?? And that my heart hurts?? And that I want to give them a hug even if they frustrated the hell out of me??

Nobody should be surprised that I read this in 24 hours. I can’t wait to see where their journey goes.
