Kept me intrigued. Loved the narrator! The actual reason behind the killings was kind of…flat.

Stories with geographic isolation always call to me, and this one really fit the bill. Not only is everyone stranded and trapped together, but there are injuries and other impediments to really make things tricky.
I did predict that Liz was the mastermind and killer pretty early on, but the journey was fun and the final dangerous ski-chase was thrilling.
The writing style was okay, and there were a LOT of twists and turns and red herrings along the way. However, once I got adept at spotting her fakes they didn’t catch me out again.m
Unfortunately, I didn’t care about any of the characters. No one felt very developed, none of the characters were engaging, and we didn’t get any backstory from any of them. A locked-door thriller should have a cast of characters that you care about. They should all have things happening in their lives and interconnected stories that you unravel as you go. Here, we immediately knew who was hooking up and what business decision people aligned with, and nothing else developed. Boring
Plus, the whole concept of the app sucks? That’s not a big deal, but it didn’t keep me interested and I didn’t pick this up to read about business decisions.

I started this one by listening as an audiobook and the snoop parts made It really confusing but once i picked up the actual book and saw what It meant i was much more interested in It! I think the killer was obvious, just not the reason why. I think if she included some more POVs It would of made the killer less obvious. Otherwise, good read for my first Ruth ware book!

I like the “and then there were none” trope. I hate that she made Liz’s social awkwardness part of why she’s a murderer. I dislike the injury trope Ruth keeps using. I wanted more back story explanations for both Liz and Erin. But overall a decent easy read

Too much contemplation and speculation, not enough action. All the additional unnecessary narration dwindles any potential suspense that could have possibly been. Ruth Ware is a master of killing the pacing.
