Pippi Långstrump

Astrid Lindgren

3.95 AVERAGE

Nothing but fun from start to finish. Pippi is a host unto herself and unbridled joy, if occasionally a bit much.

The first novel I read to my daughter, age 5. We read a chapter or two before bed each night and she liked the ridiculous things Pippi would do. Neither of us fell in love with the characters and we will move on to other novels and characters.

A bit dated, but cute. My kids enjoyed listening to it while we took a car trip.
I recommend pulling it up to entertain kids from ages 5 to 12.

I adore Pippi! I never read the books but I did see the movie way long back when. I adored the movie and I adore the book!

Fun and silly escapades. It was not our family's favorite read-aloud, but there were enough moments that made us laugh out loud to keep us interested.

Cute book, my kids really liked it. I didn't like how it glamorized illiteracy and bad behavior simply by saying she didn't know any better.

As magical as I remembered. A delight.

**also read with Isaac. Needed a few edits but he thought some parts were absolutely hilarious and deemed it five stars.
